The new weight loss medication that has been approved by the FDA is for people who are clinically overweight. Eligible people must have a body mass index (BMI) above 30, or above 27 if they have additional weight related conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or triglycerides, or diabetes. Check your BMI to see if you're eligible

Our program begins with a comprehensive medical screening with one of our board-certified medical doctors. They will review your health history, order the required lab tests, and meet with you to discuss treatment options. This comprehensive screening costs $95 and includes everything you need to help you to start losing weight.

If one of the new medications is appropriate for you, a prescription will be sent to your local pharmacy. Since the cost of the medication is not included, a patient advocate from our office will help you get the medication covered by your insurance or at the lowest possible price.

Follow up with the doctor is essential for a safe and effective weight loss program. Our team based approach costs $49 per month and includes all of your virtual follow-up doctor’s visits, refill prescriptions, lab tests, and 24/7 access to our doctors and office team on our messaging app.

We do not accept insurance at this time for our fees. However, the cost of the medication may be covered by your insurance and our patient advocate team will assist you with the authorizations needed for insurance coverage. You also may be able to use your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) to cover the costs of the program and medications.

The simple answer is, yes! Your health and safety are of the utmost importance to us. Our medical team requires a lab testing to make sure that the medication is safe for you. We also require periodic lab tests to make sure your body remains healthy while under treatment. The patient advocate team will help make this convenient for you.

Ozempic®, Wegovy® and Mounjaro® are considered GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide receptor agonists) medications. These medicines are used to treat type 2 diabetes by helping the body make more natural insulin which lowers sugar levels. Doctors and scientists realized that this class of medicines also resulted in significant weight loss for their patients. In 2021, the FDA approved Wegovy® as a stand-alone weight loss medication for people without diabetes. The GLP-1 medications are taken once weekly. They make people feel fuller faster and for longer and help them lose weight.
